Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What time are sessions?

A: The light is best the first hour of the day or the last hour of the day.  I prefer to schedule my sessions during those times.  I understand that sometimes that's not convenient for small children and will work with you to find the best time for all.

Q: Will I get to see all the photos from my session?

A: I upload all the best images from your session to an online gallery for you to choose your favorites.  I make sure to remove any that don't portray you at your best, like ones with eyes closed, technical difficulties, bad facial expressions, etc.

Q:How long will it take for me to receive my images?

A: It can take me up to 2 weeks to do initial edits on your images.  At that point, I'll upload them to an online gallery for you to choose your favorites.  Once you've chosen, I'll do some final finishing edits.  Those can take up to a week, depending on how many you choose.  Then I'll email you a link to download them.

Q:Do you have a studio?

A: I am an outdoor photographer and love capturing your moments in our beautiful part of the country!  Occasionally I will do a newborn session in your home.

Q: What should I wear to my session?

A: It's always best to choose 2-3 colors that complement each other and pick pieces for each family member from those that flow well, but aren't exactly the same.

Q: Do you have a place you recommend to print my images?

A: Yes!  The only local place I recommend is Kidwell's in Dothan on Foster Street.  I also recommend printing from mpix.com and nationsphotolab.com  They both print true to color as long as the color correction box is unchecked during ordering.

Q: Do you provide prints?

A: Yes, I do!  Let me know which sizes you are interested in and I can get you a pricing list.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad the day of our session?

A: I always check the weather the night before and will contact you if it looks questionable.  The day of your session I will recheck and we will decide together what will work best.

Q:Can I bring my pet(s) to the session?

A:  Yes!  Just let me know what kind so I can be prepared and make sure we choose the best location to include them.

Q:How many people can be included in my session?

A: Sessions are for immediate family.  If you would like to include extended family or friends, just let me know and we'll discuss options.

Q: What kind of editing can I expect?

A: I do edit true to color and focus on skin tones being correct.  I will automatically remove anything that isn't permanent like blemishes and bruises.  If there is something else you'd like me to focus on, let me know!

Q: Can I have a theme for my session?

A: Absolutely!  Please let me know about it so I can help make your vision come to life!
